My Background

I don’t believe I have one calling in life. One job/career has never been for me. I explore and accumulate new interests and skills.

I am so happy to have fused my loves and strengths together. The skills i’ve acquired along my career journey make me an awesome celebrant. I absolutely love what I do.

You know how people generally only like the party side of weddings? Not me, I get caught up in the ceremony part. I secretly wanted to do that – marry people, but from my experience of weddings it seemed that it was something you did when you retired. NOT TRUE!

So long story short I completed my studies, became an authorised marriage celebrant and it was one of the best decisions i’ve ever made.

I’ve run my own personal training business since 2008, with experience training large groups, all types of clients/personalities, virtual training, producing and presenting workshops for the corporate sector.

Before that I ran a theatre-in-education company with my sister. Which involved writing, performing, teaching and basically having a lot of fun.

I pride myself on being highly organised and professional whilst being warm and friendly (that’s what my couples say!), I’m at ease presenting and get to indulge my love of writing with sharing your love story.

Nowdays as my celebrant business is getting ever increasingly busy, I only train PT clients part time, it’s something I could never give up, I love my clients.

By the way did I mention i’ve trained hundreds of brides? I had so many tips up my sleeve I turned it into a book to help brides DIY for their big day.

Non business stuff

I enjoy life with my awesome husband Mark, our gorgeous daughter and our crazy furbaby Marley. A friend described Marley as being the perfect dog for us… coz we’re a bit quirky too!

I wasn’t lying when I said i’m a crazy dog lady… I freekin love dogs! I am always keen for dogs to be a part of the wedding ceremony and I warn couples that I may steal their dogs or at the very least will require an opportunity to give them cuddles. I’m serious!

I love watching movies, planning parties, socialising with family and friends and have a long standing obsession with watching Grand Designs.

Mark and I find it hard to do nothing so you will always find us exploring new places, heading out into nature or going to Bunnings as our house renovations are never ending.
